By Michael Sadler

Genre: Comedy
Runtime (Min/Max): 10 - 10 Minutes
Cast: (Male/Female/Other): 3/0/0

Synopsis: Army Sergeant Carlotti needs to fill his monthly quota. And in walks (or more accurately "sashays") Lyle, a very gay young man wanting to enlist. Carlotti goes through the rules -- published and unpublished -- that are at once patently absurd and totally unworkable. Another potential recruit walks in by the name of Ditch, a sociopath and homophobe who wants to go to Iraq. There is tension between Lyle and Ditch as these two opposites lay out their goals, which leads to a confrontation where in defending himself against attack, Lyle decks Ditch. In the end, the two men reconcile in a most unusual way, to the astonishment of Sergeant Carlotti.

Notes: Minimum set -- desk, chair, wall poster. Sergeant Carlotti should be in uniform or military fatigues; Lyle wears brooch.
