About Margot Rose

Margot Rose grew up in Indiana, studied at Yale School of Drama, got her BFA from N.C. School of the Arts and moved to NYC. Once there, she sang on the Staten Island Ferry, barmaided in Times Square and tour-guided at the Federal Reserve Bank. After a few dues-paying years, she landed her first Equity job as a Godspell clown off-

Broadway followed by the role of back-up singer Alice in the original company of I'm Getting My Act Together… at the New York Shakespeare Fest. When I'm Getting My Act Together opened in LA, Margot moved west and opened with it. She nabbed a bunch of TV and film(www.imdb.me/margotjrose), started writing songs, pulled a band together and had a blast singing around town for no

money(soundcloud.com/margot-rose/sets). She later wrote/performed her first solo musical, Springloaded, in 2017's LA Fringe Festival, then went on to storytelling for SHINE, Listen to Your Mother, etc, as well as for her own Sidedoor Salon, a multi-discipline performance venue, ten years and counting. Most importantly, in 1999, after trying for four years, her partner gave birth to twins, making them grateful Moms and co-parents to Will and

Nora Rose-Hines. What followed have been the most excruciatingly valuable years of her life.

In 2022, Will graduated from Texas State and moved back to LA for his writing career. And although beautiful Nora was lost to us on November 29, 2018, she is as important and present as oxygen, now and forever. Margot's just completed musical play, UNCONDITIONAL is the story of her miraculous daughter and family.
