Mari’s plays Between The Lines, Boxed Up, An Orange In Griffith Park, and New Christmas Traditions have been staged at various theaters in the LA area.  Her playwriting initially grew out of her work as a lyricist and composer.  Among her many musical credits:  she wrote and produced Debby Boone’s album for children The Snow Angel, and writes special material for a variety of artists, including Louise Duart, who took Mari’s music to Broadway as part of the revue Catskills On Broadway.  She co-wrote the main title song and did additional scoring for the film Home Run Showdown, and is currently writing with songwriting legends Alan & Marilyn Bergman and Johnny Mandel.  In addition, her composition The Garden Ballet was commissioned and premiered by the Florence Dance Company in Florence, Italy.  Mari began her career in LA as pianist/musical director for improv comedy groups the Groundlings and INSTAPLAY, then toured as keyboardist and conductor with Donna Summer, Amy Grant, Nell Carter, Vikki Carr, and Deniece Williams.  She holds a Masters in classical piano performance from the University of Miami and has released three CDs as a solo artist.
