About Sheldon Bull

Hello.  My love of the theater was nurtured by a great actor, writer, teacher, and man, Abel Franco, who worked with Luis Valdez and appeared in the original production of ZOOT SUIT.  Abel was also my high school drama teacher, and a life-long friend.  My whole life's work is dedicated to him.

I was co-director of a small theater group in Pasadena during the early 1970's.  After graduating from UCLA, I lucked into a career as a writer and producer in the television industry, working on staff at over a dozen prime time series, among them: NEWHART, COACH,  SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH, and MOM.

My full-length play, MALLORCA, was produced in May of 2015 by The Abingdon Theatre Company in New York City.

My one-act play, GUN SHOW, was produced by Open Hydrant Theatre Company in New York City in January of 2014.

My ten-minute play, WAITING FOR CHINESE FOOD, which was selected by Piano Fight for their ten-minute play festival in 2010.

Another full-length play, HOLLYWOOD HILLS, was selected for a staged reading by Theater Arts West in Temecula, CA, in June of 2013.
