About Tanis Galik

I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and grew up interested in the arts.  At an early age I became involved in dance, acting and modeling.  I attended Ohio University to focus on acting and dance.  After graduation, I moved to Los Angeles to further my studies in acting.  However, I became interested in writingespecially for the theatreafter meeting various professional writers.  I attended CSU to obtain my masters in writing.

My focus has changed to writing musical theatre librettos, plays and adventure/mystery-based novels.  I attended the Academy for New Musical Theatre to further study the writing of librettos and have had several plays and musicals performed at various theatres around the country.  Recently my script The Luckiest Woman in the World was one of the winners of the International Mystery Festival in Owensboro, KY.  It was turned into a radio drama and performed several times during the festival .  Since then I have had several of my 10-minute plays win various festivals. I am a lifetime member of  The Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights an a professional member of the Dramatists Guild of America.
