              THE GOLDEN FLEECE

      The rock band JASON & THE ARGONAUTS journey to Los Angeles seeking the Golden Fleece of rock stardom. The Band’s manager REX sets up an audition with IRIS, who represents Mt. Olympus Productions of Hollywood headed by ART MOGUL. JASON and Co-Vocalist MAE are creative and excited, but they conflict over Jason also recording and writing songs for the punk band THE FURIES. Jason gets involved with Ambrosia, the food of the Gods, with heavy duty consequences. He seeks his own drug free redemption through his songwriting collaboration with His true love, Mae.

     Featuring an eclectic musical score including rock, punk, hip hop, and ballads, and choreographed dance numbers, the CAST of Three Women and Five Men sing live to the professionally recorded instrumental score. The running time is approximately two hours and fifteen minutes including a ten minute intermission. The set pieces and props are minimal, and the costumes are easily acquired. The musical can be performed with a CAST of six if necessary.
